Basketball Game Preview: Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays vs. Yutan Chieftains

The Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays will head out on the road to challenge the Yutan Chieftains at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Ashland-Greenwood will head out to face Yutan after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. Ashland-Greenwood received a blow as they fell 47-28 to Lincoln Lutheran. Having soared to a lofty 57 points in the game before, the Bluejays couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Yutan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 45-39 to Douglas County West. The loss continues a trend for the Chieftains in their matchups with the Falcon: they've now lost four in a row.

Ashland-Greenwood's defeat ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-3. As for Yutan, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.

Everything came up roses for Ashland-Greenwood against Yutan in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 68-30 win. In that contest, Ashland-Greenwood amassed a halftime lead of 44-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
