Volleyball Recap: Fremont's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

After losing to Saratoga the last time they met, Fremont decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Fremont Firebirds walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Saratoga Falcons on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Firebirds as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Fremont walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 24-26, 25-15.

Neebir Natarjan paced Fremont's offense, picking up nine kills. Natarjan got some help from Neel Sharma and his 11 assists. Finally, Subhan Kunwar kept Fremont's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Fremont's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Saratoga, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Fremont will face off against Mission San Jose at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Saratoga, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Saratoga Falcons take on Los Altos Eagles at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
