Football Preview: Strathmore Spartans vs. Corcoran Panthers        
        
		
             Two dominant  signal callers in  Isaiah Colunga and  Tony Alvarez are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Strathmore Spartans will take on the Corcoran Panthers at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. Strathmore is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
 Last Friday,  everything went Strathmore's way against Granite Hills as Strathmore made off with  a  42-19 victory. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won four games by 21  points or more  so far this season.
 Strathmore's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Ramon Rodriguez, who rushed for 105 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. That's the most  rushing yards  Rodriguez has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was  Colunga, who rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
 Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when  Corcoran faced off against Orosi on Friday. Corcoran came out on top against Orosi by a score of  27-14. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Panthers.
 Corcoran got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Alvarez out in front who threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns on only 19 passes. Corcoran also got a significant boost from  Elijah Muthana, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 98 yards.
 Strathmore is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record  this season. As for Corcoran, their record now sits at 5-3.
 Strathmore came up short against Corcoran in their previous matchup  back in October of 2023, falling  20-14. Can Strathmore avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
