Softball Recap: Thomaston Bears vs. Lakeview Bobcats
Thomaston lost to Lakeview back in May of 2019, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Bears walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Bobcats.
Madison Decker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Jackie Phillips was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Aylin Lahey, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
