Volleyball Recap: Camarillo Comes Up Short

Camarillo's tournament run continued when they took on Long Beach Poly on Saturday. The Camarillo Scorpions fell just short of the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits by a score of 1-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Scorpions were not able to get on the board.

Camarillo's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Long Beach Poly, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Camarillo will take on Royal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Camarillo has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Long Beach Poly, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Capistrano Valley Christian on the 15th.
