Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Ryken Comes Up Short

St. Mary's Ryken was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by the Bishop McNamara Mustangs 76-32. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-23.

Despite the loss, St. Mary's Ryken saw an underclassman step up: freshman Aaliyah Harris posted seven points and four steals. Genevieve Coughlon also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

St. Mary's Ryken's defeat dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Bishop McNamara, the win was the 22nd in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-1.

St. Mary's Ryken does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop McNamara, they have already played their next game, a 57-41 victory against Mt. Zion Prep Academy on the 5th.
