Basketball Recap: Okeechobee Takes a Loss

Okeechobee managed to slip by Jensen Beach the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Brahmans were outmatched by the Falcons and fell 68-33. The Brahmans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jensen Beach got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jalen Webley out in front who went 7-for-11 to rack up 15 points. Those 15 points gave Webley a new career-high. Tavareon Newson was another key player, putting up nine points along with five boards and four steals.

Okeechobee's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Jensen Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Okeechobee will host Clewiston at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Brahmans will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 76 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Jensen Beach, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Martin County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
