Baseball Recap: Calhoun Academy Gets the Win

Calhoun Academy can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Central Holmes Christian Trojans 6-5.

Levi Walls and Jake Allen did most of the damage at the plate: Walls went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Allen got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Walls is becoming a predictor of Calhoun Academy's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is 2-1 (and 2-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Denton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Calhoun Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Calhoun Academy's record now sits at 4-6. As for Central Holmes Christian, their record now sits at 3-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calhoun Academy will take on Columbus Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central Holmes Christian, they will face off against Calhoun Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
