Baseball Recap: Mansfield Senior Comes Up Short

Mansfield Senior was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the West Holmes Knights, falling 17-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 on Tuesday.

Mansfield Senior's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for West Holmes, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.

Coming up, Mansfield Senior will square off against Lima Senior at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tygers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season. As for West Holmes, they will welcome Norwayne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
