Basketball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Riverside can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Beachside Barracudas and fell 60-26. The Generals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-8.

Leading Beachside to victory were Morgan Cremen and Kendall Kane. Cremen went 6 for 11 en route to 16 points in addition to eight assists and six steals, while Kane went 8 of 17 on her way to 20 points and four steals. Cremen is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 18 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Anni Ament, who posted seven points along with 11 boards and five steals.

Riverside has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Beachside, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-9.

Riverside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Beachside, they will challenge Ponte Vedra on Saturday. Beachside has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 205 points over their last three contests.
