Three Rivers (8 Man) Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Lawson Posts Huge Game in 46-0 Victory

Starting off the list is Marmaton Valley's Brayden Lawson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Lawson threw for 164 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes, and also rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.

If history really does repeat itself, Lawson might just drop another big game when he faces off against Crest on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Lawson saw the Lancers), he threw for 198 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 passes.

Jaedon Granere Delivers Best Performance of Season

On Friday, Marmaton Valley got the W thanks in part to Jaedon Granere playing the best football he has all season. Granere wasn't messing around, picking up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The match was his fourth straight with two or more receiving touchdowns dating back to last season.

For the season, Granere has caught 9 touchdowns while averaging 70.8 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he was only averaging 46.2 receiving yards per game.

Josh Hutchinson Makes It Two for Oswego

Another Oswego player making an appearance on this list is Josh Hutchinson. He rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown. He didn't just play on offense: he also made six total tackles and defended a pass.

If history really does repeat itself, Hutchinson might just drop another big game when he faces off against Cedar Vale/Dexter on Friday. Hutchinson rushed for 183 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries the last time he and the Spartans duked it out back in October of 2023.
