They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Pineview Christian Warriors 59-29. The Swordsmen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.
Glen Iris Baptist got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lanie Saruse out in front who went 11 of 20 en route to 28 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Saruse has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebekah Everett, who posted 13 points along with five assists and four steals.
Glen Iris Baptist pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.2 points per game. As for Pineview Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
