Basketball Recap: Dickson Academy Comes Up Short

Dickson Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Boyd Christian Broncos 81-30. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-20.

It was another big night for Brooke Kesey, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 boards for Boyd Christian. What's more, Kesey also racked up four steals, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Katie Bechtel, who went 9 for 13 on her way to 23 points.

Dickson Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Boyd Christian, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-9.

Dickson Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Boyd Christian has already played their next contest (against Franklin Classical School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
