Baseball Game Preview: Alhambra Moors vs. San Gabriel Matadors

For the second straight game, Alhambra will face off against San Gabriel. The Moors will head out to face off against the Matadors at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Alhambra is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Alhambra made easy work of San Gabriel and carried off an 11-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Moors.

Nero Navarro was a standout: he scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Marc Hernandez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Alhambra pushed their record up to 13-3-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for San Gabriel, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
