Basketball Game Preview: Southeast Lancers vs. Galena Bulldogs

Southeast hasn't had much luck against Galena recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Southeast Lancers will welcome the Galena Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Galena took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Southeast, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Southeast needed a bit of extra time to put away Commerce. They secured a 56-51 W over the Tigers. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lancers considering their 20-point performance the contest before.

Among those leading the charge was Eliz White, who posted 17 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Camryn Sanders was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Meanwhile, Galena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 25-22 heartbreaker at the hands of Riverton. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Southeast is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Galena, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
