Softball Recap: Holy Name Comes Up Short

Holy Name lost against Elyria Catholic back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Green Wave fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 7-5.

Ava Posa was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Stephens, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Holy Name's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for Elyria Catholic, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 10-0.

Holy Name wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-6 win against Hudson on the 17th. As for Elyria Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-4 victory against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin on the 16th.
