Lutheran had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Whitfield Warriors. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Rylan Versemann paced Lutheran's offense, picking up eight kills. Versemann got some help from Charlie Bennett and his 13 assists.

Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Whitfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-1 record this season.

Lutheran has already played their next game, a 1-1 draw against Holt on the 26th. As for Whitfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 1-1 tie against Pattonville on the 26th.
