Keeshawn Love Dazzles in Fernley Win

Starting off the list is Fernley's Keeshawn Love, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Love rushed for 190 yards and a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2023.

Love is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Lowry on Friday. Love rushed for 225 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry the last time he and the Buckaroos duked it out back in October of 2023.

Elko's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Kraintz and Elko will face off against Truckee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jace Estabrook was instrumental in extending Truckee's winning streak to 20 on Friday. Estabrook turned in his biggest game of the season, rushing for 132 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Those 132 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Truckee pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Estabrook will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Elko on Friday.

While Matthew Bird delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Churchill County. Despite the loss, Bird was still balling out as he rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 137 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Churchill County now has a losing record at 3-4. Bird and Churchill County will venture away from home to square off against Spring Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Bryce Stephens Goes Supernova in Fernley Win
