Volleyball Recap: Horizon Honors Wins Going Away Against Heritage Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Phoenix Country Day, Horizon Honors was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Heritage Academy Heroes as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Heroes, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Horizon Honors took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-11, 25-15.

Jillian Housh paced Horizon Honors' offense, picking up seven kills. Housh got some help from Harper Vanderwall and her 15 assists. Vanderwall was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Horizon Honors' win bumped their record up to 10-22. As for Heritage Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Horizon Honors wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against ALA - Anthem South on the 28th. As for Heritage Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Arizona Lutheran Academy on the 28th.
