Soccer Game Preview: Mission vs. Martin

The Mission Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Martin Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Mission will head out to face Martin after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. Mission fell just short of Nixon by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 439th, while the Mustangs are ranked 148th).

Meanwhile, Martin's game on Tuesday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. They put the hurt on Mission Veterans Memorial with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Martin's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Mission, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
