Parma got themselves on the board against Melba on Thursday, but Melba never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 23-0 margin over the Mustangs. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 16 matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Parma got a massive performance out of Poppy Nichols, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave Nichols a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Calkins, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Parma kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Parma is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Melba, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-14 record.

Parma wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 16-4 loss against Nampa Christian on the 16th. As for Melba, they have also already played their next match, a 15-5 defeat against Declo on the 16th.
