Softball Recap: South Side Hornet vs. St. Joseph Bulldogs        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, South Side gave their fans yet another huge  win on Monday. They were the clear victor by  a  15-3 margin over the St. Joseph Bulldogs. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for South Side considering their two-run performance the  contest before.
  Ana Goodwin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out ten batters over  3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and not a single walk). Goodwin was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Lina Sullivan was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.  Maggie Bradford was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
 On St. Joseph's side,  Ashlynne Vote was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with two  doubles, a  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 South Side has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record  this season. As for St. Joseph, their loss was  their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 2-7.
 South Side will  square off against Bigelow at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. South Side's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4  runs per game  this season, so Bigelow's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for St. Joseph, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sacred Heart at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
