Basketball Recap: Sapulpa Takes a Loss

After flying high against Enid last Tuesday, Sapulpa came back down to earth. The Sapulpa Chieftains fell just short of the Jenks Trojans by a score of 62-59 on Friday. The Chieftains have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Sapulpa's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Jenks, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-11.

Coming up, Sapulpa will be playing at home against Charles Page at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jenks, they will head out to face off against Bartlesville at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jenks knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Bartlesville likes a good challenge.
