After a string of seven wins, Jay's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the MacArthur Brahmas by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mustangs came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Brahmas are ranked 339th).

Jay's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-3-1. As for MacArthur, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Jay will face off against Harlandale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harlandale's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for MacArthur, they will venture away from home to challenge Southside at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. MacArthur is facing Southside at the right time seeing as Southside is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
