Basketball Recap: Braylon Estrada Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Iola

Bremond won the last time they faced Iola and things went their way on Friday too. The Bremond Tigers walked away with a 65-56 win over the Iola Bulldogs. With that victory, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 50.8 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bremond to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braylon Estrada, who went 5 for 11 en route to 12 points and six boards. Estrada has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jeramiah Morgan, who posted 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.

Bremond smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Bremond is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points over those games. As for Iola, they dropped their record down to 9-14 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bremond will host Holland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bremond is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season. As for Iola, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mumford at 6:30 p.m.
