Basketball Recap: Portland Extends Winning Streak to Three

Portland waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 60-40 margin over the Charlotte Orioles. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Orioles are ranked 288th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Portland pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points over those games. As for Charlotte, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.

Coming up, Portland will face off against Sexton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Charlotte, they will host Eaton Rapids at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
