Football Recap: Mifflin Comes Up Short

Mifflin fell victim to East and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt an 81-0 defeat at the hands of the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Punchers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 690th, while the Tigers are ranked 271st).

Among those leading the charge was Dior Hansard, who threw for 190 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing. Those 190 passing yards gave him a new career-high.

Mifflin's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Mifflin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-0 defeat against Centennial on the 19th. As for East, they have also already played their next match, a 26-0 win against Northland on the 18th.
