Volleyball Game Preview: Chatfield Chargers vs. Valor Christian Eagles + How To Watch

Chatfield is 2-7 against Valor Christian since August of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Chargers will host the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. This will be Chatfield's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Last Tuesday, Chatfield came up short against Denver South and fell 3-1. While the Chargers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Ravens 25-17 in the first set.

Chatfield started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-10, 25-23, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Valor Christian faced Legend in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 win over the Titans. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won eight in a row.

Valor Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-23, 26-24, 25-15.

Chatfield's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Valor Christian, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
