Volleyball Recap: Flinthills Mustangs vs. Greeley County Jackrabbits

Flinthills extended their postseason success on Friday against Greeley County. They had just enough and edged the Greeley County Jackrabbits out 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Flinthills had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-23, 25-22.

Harlee Randall paced Flinthills' offense, picking up 29 kills. Randall got some help from Emily Scribner and her 23 assists. Scribner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Greeley County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addyson Kennedy had 11 digs. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Kennedy.

Flinthills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 23 of their last 24 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 38-2 record this season. As for Greeley County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 28-11.

Flinthills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Little River on the 2nd. Greeley County has also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against St. Francis on the 1st.
