Jacobs and Huntley are an even 4-4-1 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Golden Eagles will face off against the Red Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Jacobs managed to slip by Mundelein the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Mustangs on Saturday, falling 5-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Jacobs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Huntley made sure to put some goals up on the board against McHenry on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Warriors a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Huntley, who have now won five contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting McHenry from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Maizie Nickle led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

The victory made it two in a row for Huntley and bumps their season record up to 8-0-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Jacobs, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3-3.

Jacobs suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Huntley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Golden Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
