Denham Springs put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 79-62 victory over the Franklin Hornets. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Hornets are ranked 61st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Denham Springs got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was DaSean Golmond out in front who went 5 of 8 en route to 14 points and eight assists. The team also got some help courtesy of DaJean Golmond, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 16 points and five assists.

Denham Springs' victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-0. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Denham Springs and Washington-Marion will face off at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Franklin, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 51-47 win against Acadiana on the 27th.
