Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Piles Up the Points Against Portland

St. Joseph's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 80-52 win over the Portland Highlanders.

TJ Wright had an outrageously good game as he went 11 for 20 on his way to 25 points. His morning made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jayden Febus was another key player, putting up 12 points along with five boards and five steals.

The victory got St. Joseph back to even at 2-2. As for Portland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

St. Joseph and Notre Dame Prep will round out the year against one another at at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Notre Dame Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Portland, they will host Coginchaug Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
