Soccer Recap: Reavis Comes Up Short

Reavis fell victim to Davenport North and their airtight defense on Friday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Reavis can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 296th in Illinois, while Davenport North are ranked 96th in Iowa).

Reavis has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Davenport North, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-5-2.

Coming up, Reavis will be taking part in a tournament against Dunlap at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Davenport North, they will face off against North Scott at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
