The home team had won the previous three meetings between Pryor and Skiatook, and Pryor kept the tradition alive. Pryor walked away with a 6-1 victory over Skiatook on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gavin Roberts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Pryor got a big performance out of Brock Ward, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Riley Hurst, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Pryor's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Skiatook, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Coming up, Pryor will face off against Joplin at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Skiatook, they will head out on the road to square off against Oktaha at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
