Softball Recap: Douglas Tigers vs. McQueen Lancers
Douglas won against Reed last Tuesday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Everything went the Douglas Tigers' way against the McQueen Lancers as the Douglas Tigers made off with a 12-5 win. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Haylie Pledger made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off 12 hits. Pledger was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Ava Gildea was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Hailee Lister was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
