Baseball Recap: Skyview Extends Winning Streak to Three

Skyview waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They skirted past the Mountain Range Mustangs 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolverines have posted since May 3, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Andrew Casillas, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

Skyview's record now sits at 3-8. As for Mountain Range, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Skyview will square off against Aurora Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Wolverines will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mountain Range, they will take on Prairie View at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Thunderhawks will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
