Softball Game Preview: Clarke County Eagles vs. Strasburg Rams

The Clarke County Eagles will challenge the Strasburg Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Strasburg took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Clarke County, who comes in off a win.

Clarke County's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Luray 12-0. Considering the Eagles have won six contests by more than ten runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Strasburg fell victim to Page County and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 6-0 to the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rams have suffered since May 23, 2024.

Strasburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenley Arnold, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Clarke County now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Strasburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
