Softball Game Preview: Molokai Farmers vs. Lanai Pine Lads

For the second straight game, Molokai will face off against Lanai. The Farmers will be playing at home against the Pine Lads at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Molokai has given up an average of 13.4 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Molokai is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Lanai just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 19-3 to the Pine Lads. The matchup marked the Farmers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

For Lanai's part, they got a massive performance out of Leihiwa Siliga, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Siliga is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Katelyn Bello was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Lanai always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .545 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Molokai's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Lanai, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
