Spruce Creek is 9-1 against Seabreeze since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Spruce Creek Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Seabreeze Sandcrabs at 6:00 p.m. Spruce Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Spruce Creek is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Florida's top teams: Windermere, who was ranked fourth at the time (Spruce Creek was ranked 11th). Spruce Creek took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Windermere on Wednesday. The Hawks have struggled against the Wolverines recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Peyson Garcia made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Seabreeze's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to Deltona. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Sandcrabs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Spruce Creek suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 10-2. As for Seabreeze, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Spruce Creek has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Seabreeze struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Spruce Creek skirted past Seabreeze 3-2 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spruce Creek since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
