Football Recap: Cactus' Undefeated Season over After Three Games + How To Watch

Cactus was the 26-18 winner over Horizon when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Cobras fell 20-7 to the Huskies on Thursday. The loss put an end to the Cobras' undefeated start to the season.

Luke Berlin threw for 76 yards on ten of 20 attempts. Robert Bell was his top target, picking up 50 receiving yards. On the ground, Jeremiah Angulo rushed for 64 yards and one score.

Horizon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jake Giraud led the charge by picking up 95 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Giraud was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 58 yards. Horizon also got a significant boost from Bodie Zamorano, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 110 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cactus fell to 2-1. As for Horizon, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Cactus is taking a road trip to face off against Peoria at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for Horizon, they will host Sunnyslope at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
