Baseball Recap: Wright's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak on the Road

The third road matchup was the charm for Wright, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Drummond Lumberjacks on Friday. For the Red Devils, this counts as revenge for the 7-5 victory the Lumberjacks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Wright's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Gallo, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits Gallo has posted since back in May of 2024.

Wright's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Drummond, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Wright will challenge Hurley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Drummond, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Siren at 4:30 p.m. on the 28th.
