Baseball Game Preview: Juanita Ravens vs. Bothell/Inglemoor Cougars

The Juanita Ravens will square off against the Bothell/Inglemoor Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Juanita will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Juanita's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over North Creek.

Cal Moeller tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Ronan Scoffield and Eric Munchinsky did most of the damage at the plate: Scoffield scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Munchinsky went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Gabe Pham also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Bothell/Inglemoor sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Hazen on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Juanita pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bothell/Inglemoor, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.
