Basketball Recap: Life Christian Takes a Loss

Life Christian was the 69-56 winner over Mid-Moore Christian when they last played one another back in November, but their luck changed this time around. The Life Christian Eagles might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Mid-Moore Christian Tornados an easy 71-48 victory. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Mid-Moore Christian was led to victory by Caeson Moore and Dayton Crawley. Moore posted 20 points along with seven boards and six steals, while Crawley earned 23 points. Moore's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Spivey, who put up 11 points and eight rebounds.

Life Christian's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-3. As for Mid-Moore Christian, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Life Christian will welcome Dewar at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mid-Moore Christian, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cristo Rey on January 7, 2025. Mid-Moore Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.8 points per game this season.
