Baseball Recap: Belleview Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Belleview's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Holmes County Blue Devils on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Rattlers have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Belleview has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. The victory was the third in a row for Holmes County, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belleview will venture away from home to take on Bay at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Belleview has given up an average of 6.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Holmes County, they will head out to face off against Berryhill at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Holmes County 3.1, Berryhill 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
