Baseball Game Preview: New Lexington Panthers vs. Meadowbrook Colts

For the second straight game, New Lexington will face off against Meadowbrook. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Colts at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Lexington is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

New Lexington's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Meadowbrook by a score of 5-0. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Colts recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Clay Miller made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over nine innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with one home run and four RBI.

Miller wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Paul Stenson, who went 1-for-5 with one triple.

New Lexington now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Meadowbrook, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
