Softball Recap: Shamokin Area Indians vs. Milton Black Panthers        
        
		
            
 Shamokin Area stacked  a  sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Milton Black Panthers as the Shamokin Area Indians made off with  an  11-1 victory. The  win was nothing new for Shamokin Area as they're now sitting on three straight.
  EMMA KURTZ made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. KURTZ has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings every time she's  pitched this season. KURTZ was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  KENNEDY PETROVICH was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last four games she's  played.  AVA HUGHES was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Shamokin Area pushed their record up to 10-3 with that  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Milton, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record  this season.
 Shamokin Area will head out on the road to  face off against  Bloomsburg at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Milton, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Mifflinburg at 4:30  p.m.
