Baseball Recap: Fairview Find Success

Fairview won the last time they faced Erie and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Oliver Peterson tossed a big game, tossing 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jack Espiritu-Niswonger, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

The win got Fairview back to even at 4-4. As for Erie, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Fairview will face off against Monarch at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Erie, they will take on Brighton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
