Soccer Recap: Normandy Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Normandy was not quite Padua Franciscan's equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 2-1. Normandy were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Padua Franciscan apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Normandy's goal came courtesy of Isabel Kroth, who's now up to nine this season.

Normandy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-2. As for Padua Franciscan, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Normandy has already played their next match, a 2-2 draw against Westlake on the 23rd. As for Padua Franciscan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Laurel on the 22nd.
