Softball Recap: Argo Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Argo's offense. They came up short against the Reavis Rams on Monday, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Argonauts' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Argo's loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Reavis, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Argo is set to square off against their familiar foe Shepard at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Argonauts 3.3, the Astros 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Reavis will challenge rival Tinley Park at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
