 Cambridge was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell  13-8 to the Saratoga Central Catholic Saints. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cambridge of the  14-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  on April 11th.
 For Saratoga Central Catholic's part,  Grace Schaefer made a big impact no matter where she played. She  tossed three innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   three  hits. Schaefer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Schaefer was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news, Saratoga Central Catholic let  Ryan McDonald and  Paige Bujno loose on the outfield. McDonald  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with a  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI, while  Bujno  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Ryan Looby, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Cambridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Saratoga Central Catholic, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record  this season.
